Once again Lettice returned to pull out all the stops for the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2018

This year saw the event move outdoors to its new home in Bedford Square Gardens. The lush green lawn and towering trees created the perfect backdrop for this summer party.
The 600 guests followed the festoon lighting to an opening between the trees where they were greeted by our smiling staff with trays of sparkling prosecco and soft elderflower and mint cocktails.
Canapés began to circulate; Mini bruschetta with burrata & basil, glazed figs with prosciutto, mozzarella & truffle honey drizzle were just some of the delights served to the guests. Beetroot potato cakes with caraway cured salmon, horseradish cream & chives were presented on our unique Lettice trays filled with fresh spring flowers.
Guests flocked to the Baileys specialty bar to taste the six cocktails freshly prepared by our Lettice barmen who were dressed in smart summer blazers. The Almande Rose served with an edible flower garnish was a firm favourite among attendees.
Glasses were topped up in time for the winner of the Women’s Prize For Fiction 2018 to be announced on stage inside the stretch tent with hessian flooring.
As guests enjoyed the last moments of sunshine we served our signature Lettice cylinders with six options there was something to suit everyone. The handmade fishcakes spiced with cumin, cardamom and lemon zest drizzled with a medley of chutney and natural yoghurt suited the evening perfectly.
Once the sun had set guests were invited to take desserts from the show-stopping dessert staircase. Lettice created over 1000 delectable treats garnished with edible flowers, glitter and popping candy. Included were our gluten and dairy free Blueberry and orange polenta cakes with an apricot glaze, candied peel, and orange frosting.
