A Secret Garden Summer Party

Each year, the best of London’s literary scene gather to celebrate on a perfect summer’s evening, over a selection of Lettice’s signature canapés and cocktails.

Hidden away in Montague Street Garden, the guests arrived to enjoy the Summer Solstice under a Maharaja tent set up by our lovely partners at Raj Tents. Lettice had the pleasure of hosting their annual summer party where food was devoured, and the drinks were flowing.

Food:

Our canapés were whisked around the 500-strong guests, with the crispy plantain chips with the smashed avocado, chili, and lime being a firm favourite by all. Our tartlets of white shallot with gruyere and thyme stood out from the rest as they looked enchanting atop of our floral post-box trays.

Drinks:

For this perfect summer garden party setting, there was a choice of three specialty gin and tonic cocktails.  The gin and tonics infused with sliced strawberries and a sprig of thyme were extremely popular with the guests, as “it reminds me of summer in a glass” was overheard being said by one of the guests. The other alternatives we had on offer were, gin and tonic infused with mint leaves and lime garnished with a sprig of rosemary, and the classic gin and tonic over ice with a slice of lime. Gin and tonics are always a necessity during summer, so why not have a look through our Top 3 Gin and Tonics, in our “how to” blog section.

“Thank you so much to you and your team for all your hard work last week – the party went brilliantly, everyone was happy. It’s so nice not to have anything to worry about on the night and to know that all is in safe hands!” – Kate Burton
