With the October sun beating down, the glorious expanse of the Suffolk countryside made for a magical setting for this autumnal wedding. With a theme of rich jewel tones spilling across flowers, canapes and cocktails, the day was a rainbow of colours. Lettice were called upon to create a family style feast, construct a classic champagne tower and mix up a menu of enticing cocktails for 120 guests, who danced the night away under a starry sky.
The Venue: A beautiful custom-built yurt in the grounds of the family home.
What they drank:
A glistening champagne tower was poured during the reception accompanied by refreshing glasses of sharp rose lemonade and cool glasses of Rosé. Lettice barmen mixed up Moscow Mules, many an Old Fashioned and delicious Blood Orange Gin & Tonics late into the night.
What they ate:
Delicious Lettice canapés including our signature rainbow quail’s eggs with caviar and chive antennae and chicken liver & cognac parfait with quince jelly on brioche toast.
For the wedding feast, guests were served large olive wood antipasti boards laden with creamy burrata, prosciutto, Parma ham, juicy figs and oven roasted cherry tomatoes on the vine. This was paired with whole ciabattas and bowls of fresh pesto, olive oil and balsamic glaze.
Antipasti was followed by huge platters of free range lemon and thyme roast chickens and organic rosemary Suffolk lamb served with all the trimmings; fluffy Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese with bacon crumb and truffle oil and huge bowls laden with seasonal greens. Piping hot jugs of gravy and bowls of mint sauce and redcurrant jelly completed the table.
