Awards Dinner with a Sensory Experience

 

We thoroughly enjoyed working on this awards dinner for over 450 people at the iconic Old Billingsgate. The client’s wanted to step away from the ordinary, they wanted to create a truly unique experience that left guests talking about the evening for years to come. This needed to be incorporated into both the menu and table styling. To stand out against conventional awards dinners we styled the table with gold cutlery, modern elegant glassware and added a pop of colour with a bright orange napkin. The crockery was black stoneware that really made ingredients on the plate stand out.

When the main course was served the waiters poured bergamot tea over dry ice in the center of the table, great plumes of smoke rolled over the table and plates infusing the meal and filling the room with a fantastic aroma making it a truly sensory experience.

Canapes:

Squid ink cracker with shipped cod’s roe

Sourdough crostini with truffle beef tartar

Chickpea wafer with goats curd and olive powder

Starter:

Burrata with char-grilled artichoke with a Jersualem artichoke tapioca cracker

Main:

Beef and Bergamot – slow cooked feather blade of beef, crisp potato terrine, charred onion and a bergamot puree

Or Cauliflower steak with a crisp potato terrine, charred onion and bergamot puree

Passion fruit ganache macaron

Baby lemon baked Alaska

Blueberry and polenta mini cakes

Chocolate and caramel tartlet
