We’re just cooling off from a rather saucy private party we organised at the Delfina last week. Our guests enjoyed a complete sensory experience, grazing on steaming hot crab cakes and foie gras, drinking pomegranate margaritas and berry caipirinhas, and being serenaded by a fabulous vibes duo.
The drinks flowed all night long, and we kept the guests in suspense as to what wonderful things would happen next. After the “big reveal”, the party really got started! Guests were shown through to the dining room which we’d draped in rich, red velvet, transforming it into an opulent theatre.
The prawn cocktail starter was followed by a classic menu of exquisite tagliata, poussin and quail was served, with bosom-shaped trifles for dessert!
Then the curtains drew back and a delightfully naughty burlesque show began. The sizzling host introduced a variety of unusual and entertaining acts, including a contortionist, hula girl, and a surprise birthday performance featuring a champagne bottle filled with glitter!
We spoiled the birthday boy with a spectacular Moulin-Rouge inspired birthday cake, made by our best friends at Biscuiteers. The evening ended on a high, as each guest left with a classic Lettice Sausage Bap and a coffee, everybody’s favourite treat for the road! A great night was had by all.
