Our luxury party planners were given the challenge of transforming two floors of a beautiful office building in Mayfair into something unrecognisable for our VIP clients’ Christmas extravaganza. With the help of our wonderful friends at Event Concept and Veevers Carter we set about designing a fantastic setting that would show off the best features of the building, without the guests feeling like it was “just another office Christmas party”.
“Just amazing. We had so many compliments on everything. It all went so well and I’m sure there are a lot of people waking up to a hair of the dog this morning! My feet are still throbbing but it’s a nice reminder of a great night. THANK YOU. Thank you for everything- we will miss you both lots.
I feel very sad today as this seems to be the final wrap-up of what was such an amazing party. Disregarding the wonderful food, beautiful bellboys/waiting staff and great music, the most satisfying comments we received were from people saying that they just could not believe how successfully the workplace was transformed and that they completely forgot where they were – absolutely our primary aim and that fantastic achievement was all down to you. Thank you both for your vision, great ideas and endless patience with me – and above all for being such nice people to work with. Hope it’s not too long before we’re at it again.”
Venue: Private office in Mayfair
Number of guests: 200
Guests were greeted by some delightfully smart lift bellboys and whisked to the upper floors, where they found themselves walking into a snowy landscape of winter trees. Champagne and canapés circulated in this winter wonderland setting before guests were invited to descend the spiral staircase for a forest feast. Read on to find out more…
The lower floor was transformed into an autumnal forest complete with a huge banquet feasting table. Since our French clients are used to the best Parisian haute cuisine, we called upon the expertise of the delightful Cellar Society to provide the menu.
The floor was carpeted in a deep fir green, and rich red and bronze trees grew out of numerous tables. Highlights of the feasting table were a cranberry-topped game pie, an entire truffled brie and a huge seafood tower centrepiece with lobster, king prawns and oysters galore.
Following the feast, guests were led back upstairs by a live saxophonist and electric violin duo, into a sensational club room with espresso martinis served from a trolley and the fantastic DJ Philly on the decks.
Hidden away in a corner was a secret casino lounge, which guests gradually found their way into throughout the night to sip on Negronis and Old Fashioneds, or just for a quick spin on the roulette wheel… The night ended with the last revellers falling into their taxis at 4am clutching a bespoke hand-iced biscuit gift from the lovely Biscuiteers.
They ate: Exquisite canapés from Cellar Society included baby new potato skins with oscietra caviar & chive crème fraîche, duck parfait with gingerbread & candied damsons and ragstone goat’s cheese with hoxton sourdough & truffle honey.
Guests then enjoyed a feast (for the eyes and the stomach!) of whole kelly bronze turkey with cumberland sauce & stuffing, smoked fillet of scottish salmon with lemon zest, and an incredible saffron risotto served from a wheel of parmesan, along with many more delicacies too numerous to name.
Any guests who had danced off enough of their food by midnight tucked into late night snacks of wild mushroom sliders with wigmore cheese, fresh ceps and freshly shaved black truffle.
They drank: Tattinger Champagne and a selection of wintry cocktails from three bespoke-made bars and some stunning waiters!
Lettice styling: We could go on for hours about the theming of this event! A major part of the brief was protection of the existing space, so we started by covering the floor in the reception and dancing space with a snowy white carpet. A huge bespoke mirrored bar was built over the existing reception desk and a matching DJ booth was placed in the opposite corner. Clusters of white and gold trees interspersed with silver birch logs adorned the corners of the room and soft seating with fluffy white throws and sheepskins provided a welcome respite later in the evening, while the moving lights and lasers swirled overhead, refracted by the delicate glass chandelier.
In the feasting forest, a fir green carpet protected the wooden floor underneath and arrangements of trees with leaves in autumnal tones of brown, copper, red and dark green sprouted from tables and the floor, creating a dramatic feel. The focal point of the space was the huge feasting table, adorned with more trees as well as ornate candelabra and silver platters brimming with delicacies. Electric tealights in copper holders added to the warmth of the room, while leafy garlands dangled from the existing pendant lamps.
The casino lounge was a total contrast to the the other spaces, inviting guests into an elegant room where the main impact piece was a huge bespoke back-lit bar with antique gold mirror panels and a selection of premium liqueurs, cognacs and whiskeys. A blackjack table and a roulette wheel were manned by professional croupiers and more cosy soft seating was available for guests to relax away from the rambunctious party in the next room.
Huge thanks to the fantastic teams from Event Concept and Veevers Carter for helping to bring our ideas to life!

The guests said: “Thank you for this great Christmas party, the greatest we have ever attended. It was clearly beyond what we could have imagined in terms of decoration, food, drinks and atmosphere. Was a bit wary of a party in our office but who would have known where we were, what a transformation!”
