It might still be the middle of summer, but Christmas party planning is already in full swing, with most Christmas parties expected to be booked between May and October. If you haven’t had time to start thinking about your office party, you’re in luck! We have the major event trends for Christmas 2018 and some helpful tips to assist your planning process.
Last year, our most commonly booked Christmas party venue was either a hotel or conference space around London. This year, we are seeing a move towards unique venues and non-traditional venues. Clubs, bars, and private function rooms are becoming increasingly more popular.

Luxury street food and classic festive foods are becoming increasingly popular each year. These options create an informal atmosphere for guests, and promote interaction between colleagues. However, sit-down meals are still the most popular choice, proving that everyone still loves to pull a cracker with their neighbour and enjoy a traditional Christmas meal.

Technology is becoming more and more popular at all events. We are beginning to see AR, AI & VR make an appearance at events, as it creates an immersive experience and brings in entertainment for all to enjoy. So why not consider incorporating some virtual snowfall into your event!
With Christmas comes cold-weather, so make sure your guests can warm up with a glass of something warm. Why not have a mulled wine and cider station, with DIY spices and garnishes. Don’t forget the Prosecco and Champagne, it is a celebration after all!
